Recently been obsessed with ASGAR/GABRIEL; like overly obsessed. I cannot get enough of the pair from Austria, and I'm sure you won't either. Asgar/Gabriel's large-scale paintings are postmodern, where linear narrative is lost; where the figurative and the abstract, image and text exist simultaneously and lives for the viewer's attention. These dislocated canvases ironically serve to locate a contemporary audience who is perfectly at ease with the disjunctive over-stimulation of a world saturated by the media and the image.

Directed and animated by Magnus Engsfors, a 25 year old Motion Designer who currently works at Babusjka AS in Olso,Norway, and shot by Martin Nordqvist. A short movie illustrating the moment of total mental collapse due to very difficult personal circumstances.
The intense, and thought provoking imagery has taken me aback every time I watch it.
